Hi, I’m Steve Lucas-Brumby, your trusted handyman for all of your maintenance jobs around the house.
I’ve always been technical, working with large technology companies most of my working life. This has given me a great deal of practical skills and experience as well as how to solve problems.
Brumbles Handyman established Jan 2021. I really enjoy problem solving and helping people. Throughout this time I have helped people and businesses with all their maintenance and decorating needs.
In 2014 I purchased a 3 storey Victorian house which was in dire need of attention. I then spent the next 7 months completely stripping and renovating the whole house from top to bottom. Over that 7 month period, I gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience in areas such as: –
- Painting & decorating
- Electrical
- Patching/repairing plasterwork
- Small tiling jobs
- Laying floors such as laminate
- Assembling flat-pack furniture
- etc.
I have worked as a Technical Support Specialist specialising in Computer/Smart phone/watch for a large UK retailer. Plus, worked in the UK and New Zealand as a Technical Manager for Global technology companies such as Canon and Hewlett-Packard. I have a vast knowledge of: –
- Computers/Laptops
- Mobile phones
- Webcams
- TV/Audio set up
- I can also help with Home Automation
- etc.

What a great man to help! Reliable, on time, friendly, and work done to a good standard. Everything left clean and tidy. Cannot recommend him enough, but don’t all rush, I need him to do other work before he gets too booked up! 🤣

10/11/2021Following our move of house Steve spent 2 days with us carrying out a range of jobs including changing light fittings, hanging large and heavy pictures and mirrors, moving furniture and some techy stuff that I don’t pretend to understand. Steve was prepared to undertake anything that was asked of him and he did so efficiently and very professionally and very much had a ‘can do’ attitude and looked (and found) the answers to problems. He really could turn his hand to anything and I simply can not recommend him enough. He is rightly very busy and I’ve already booked him for a return visit in a months time.
